Spent about 100k DE to start AQ lvl24 and first barracks going to lvl11 now. I’m upgrading my barracks all the way to lvl12 before starting the second one. The main reason is to unlock all troops first so that I can complete whatever event that is thrown at me instead of being stuck and unable to complete any event if I upgrade barracks evenly (all to lvl9 first then all to lvl10 etc)

I also have goblins lvl4 upgrading in lab after lvl3 giants, I intend on bringing them to max despite probably never using them. We’ll see if I ever use them

AQ going to lvl24 right now and my last army camp will complete in 1 day, will start my 3rd DE Drill after that
