7 months since I started my account. I’m already almost past the transition phase of TH10 to a mature TH10 now. Most players haven’t even finished TH8 by now, but now I already have 23/29 royals even before they got their lvl1 AQ. Rushing works, because we’re working on things that are important (troops, heroes) at the expense of things that are not important (defenses). This is the definition of min/maxing.
Upgraded another Archer Tower today because I’ll have a free builder tomorrow. Actually, I’ll gem the dark barracks to finish the event, but all rearrange so that I’ll have a free builder tomorrow.
Gemming the Dark barracks so that I can participate in the event. Since I only have lvl1 hogs, I’ll bring 7 maxed ones from my other account.
Defense log:
Not too bad eh? You don’t need to build defenses to defend yourself, stop wasting your gold and time in lower TH levels. Infernos are the only defense you really need, all these TH9s thinking that they are invincible die against these infernos because they’re wasting their spells and troops for heals

Managed to get 1,925,572 gold, 1,785,027 elixir and 1,219 DE in an hour. In my standard comp I use some goblins but same idea that you have pushed here.
Could have hit it much harder but had kids slowing me down and didn’t have anything else to spend all the gold on. (I did not pace my builders well the last few days. In 7 hours I can finally dump 3 mil into walls!)
Did that as a TH7 in Silver 1. That is the account I have decided to no longer worry at all about maxxing. It has 5 builders and I have the TH8 upgrade running (motivated by your blogs and hastily done; part of why my builders are not cycling well now!)
