Raid Medals Guide: What to Buy and What to Skip

In recent months, Clash of Clans has made several changes to the “Weekly Deals” that require Raid Medals. With a variety of good deals available, players often wonder what they should purchase using their Raid Medals. You can earn 1000+ Raid Medals every week by participating in the Raid Weekend, so it is necessary to use them wisely.

Here are some of the top priority items you should buy with Raid Medals:

  • Ores (Shiny, Glowy, Starry): Obtain the Ores needed for your next hero equipment upgrade.
  • Pet Potion
  • Research Potion
  • Training Potions
  • Dark Elixirs (only when truly needed)

For those who enjoy playing in the Builder Base, here are less critical but still worthwhile purchases:

  • Clock Tower Potion
  • Builder Star Jar

As for what not to do with Raid Medals:

  • Avoid using Raid Medals to fill your Clan Castle with troops. Instead, opt to join an active clan and use the traditional troop requesting method. If your current clan lacks generosity, consider finding a more actively donating one to speed up your progress.
  • Refrain from using Raid Medals to purchase Gold and Elixir. While you can buy 2.5 million Gold and 2.5 million Elixir each week from the Trader using Raid Medals, this isn’t recommended. Getting 2.5 million Gold and Elixir typically requires just four attacks at most for TH12 and higher. It’s recommended to save those 300 Raid Medals for more important uses.

Training Potions vs. Resource Purchase

Training Potions are a significantly better investment compared to purchasing 2.5 million Gold or Elixir with Raid Medals. Let’s compare these options:

  • Cost of 2.5 Million Gold or Elixir: 300 Raid Medals
  • Cost of a Training Potion: 100 Raid Medals

A Training Potion costs three times less than purchasing resources directly. By using a Training Potion, you can boost troop training and spell brewing speed by 4x. Additionally, it increases the recovery speed of your heroes.

During the one-hour boost provided by a Training Potion, using efficient attack strategies like Sneaky Goblins and Super Barbarians can yield between 2.5 million to 4 million Elixir and Gold. Therefore, it’s best to avoid purchasing resources with Raid Medals and go for Training Potions instead.
